If you were recently forced to upgrade your computer to Windows 10, you should know that this operating system can feel a lot more convenient – once you know the drills. And although you might think you know all the Windows 10 tricks by now – there are still many new builds and tricks that haven’t been publicized.
So today, we are sharing some ultra fast Windows 10 tips that you probably did not know about.
In order to do this, just grab the title bar of the window you want to remain open and shake it back and forth by moving the cursor left and right quickly. After a couple of quick shakes you will minimize all the other windows – and have the one that you are shaking as the only one open.
Just hold the ALT key and double-click a file, folder or program – and you will be redirected to the Properties menu.
There are some new keyboard shortcuts you should master in Windows 10, combining the Win key and other variations. For example, Win key + A launches the Action Center while Win key + X opens the ‘secret’ Start menu.
You can now conveniently locate the Recycle Bin to your Start menu and make deleting a lot easier. In order to do this, just right-click on the Recycle Bin desktop icon and click Pin to Start. As soon as you click it it will appear on the right side of your Start menu.
Did you know that in Windows 10, you can scroll any window – even the inactive ones?
Yes – this feature should be activated on your OS by default, but in any case it isn’t, make sure to go to Settings > Devices > Mouse & touchpad and toggle Scroll inactive windows when I hover over them to On. Then, just put your cursor over an inactive window and use your scroll wheel in order to scroll.
We realize that you don’t have much time – and time can be lost by slowly navigating in the Start menu. That is why the new version of Windows 10 features fast scrolling with a ‘speed dial’. In order to open it up, just click the numbers or letters above each alphabetical section – and click a letter or number to jump to that section.
Again, you don’t need the mouse to control your Taskbar. You can quickly open the pinned programs you have by pressing the Win key + [Number Key] combination, where the [Number Key] corresponds to the position of the program on the Taskbar. If you want to switch between pinned and open programs afterwards, just use the Win key + T combination.
We hope we made your Windows 10 experience a lot easier!
